So I just pulled the trigger on a Bruiser kit. To say I'm excited would be an understatement!

I also ordered the slipper clutch, a set of the beadlock wheels, and some 2.2 M2 Flat Irons. I do have 2 questions for anyone who's got a 2012 in their collection:

Are the kit wheels 1 piece and the BL's an upgrade? I assume they are, just looking to confirm
Are the kit bumpers black or molded in white?

I have plenty of time to get things sorted out, the only condition of my ordering one is that the wife says I have to finish our yardwork/landscape projects first. Then I get to build it as an incentive to get it all done! So I have 2 decks to build and 3 gardens to install. Going to be staring at it for a few months.

This truck is 6 wheel drive 6 wheel suspension and front wheel steering.
It was built in 1991. I named this truck " The Grizzly" . The frame was designed to
use parts from an R/C Monster truck produced by "Varicom" called the "Big Grizzly".
The Big Grizzly was one of the first R/C monster trucks on the market even before the Tamiya Clod Buster.
Unfortunately the Big Grizzly was a dud. Parts broke easily. I spent a lot of time at the hobby store ordering parts to keep the truck going.
In the late 80s Varicom announced the discontinuation of this truck, so I purchased all the parts and full kits I could find.
Since the Big Grizzly was krap at crushing and racing I decided to build a 6X6. In an issue of R/C car action magazine from the 80s I saw a 6X6 called the Behemoth built using the Black Foot an old Tamiya R/C 1:10 truck.
The Grizzly when set up for pulling, pulled 137lbs for 30 feet. Full 1:10 scale pull.
At 138lbs all the main gears in both gear towers stripped and twisted the drive shafts off the gear towers. I had the shafts to replace but no spare gears. I destroyed those trying to pull.
